Nokia E71

1. What has been your experience with Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1 on Nokia devices? Positive?

Very positive. I have a Nokia E71 and so far I have got two customers deploying it on E71's as well.

Th E71 is very like a Blackberry which has been a big win in existing Blackberry customers as its a device very familiar.

Its been a breeze to setup and use compared to Blackberry's as well.

We did have issues with pre 8.5.1 and the E71 dropping syncs randomly (8.5.1 has fixed this). But I had a UK CEO, walking down a New York street call me saying she was about to go into a meeting and her E71 had stopped syncing. I was able to remote onto her UK Domino server, issue a single remote sync command and by the time she had walked to her meeting her E71 was back working perfectly!!!

2. How many do you currently have deployed within your company?

6 in a 17 person company - a real mix of all the platform options.

3. Which service provider(s)/carrier(s) do you use for your Nokia devices?

In our case in the UK it is Orange.
